COLOR FILLING SILICONE INKS FOR ENGRAVED SILICONE PRODUCTS

Permanent color filling silicone inks for engraved and de-bossed silicone products.

The Siliart color ink is an easy to apply on engraved, de-bossed, monogram silicone products.  This silicone ink is formulated as a 2- component color filling silicone ink ink for silicone rubber.

The Siliart inks gives a very great contrast which make them ideal for branding and personalizing silicone products. These inks are ideal for hobbyist and DYI artists.  Siliart silicone inks have excellent adhesion, rapid cross-linking onto silicone. In addition to ink filling, these inks are perfect of spray painting onto with applications.

Also, the Natron™ Siliart series ink is also available in 40+ high opacity standard color shades including neon (fluorescent) colors, 4 metallic colors and 4 (CMYK) process colors.

Siliart color filling silicone inks mixing instructions

The Siliart color filling silicone inks, like the all the Natron silicone pad printing ink series is easy to work with.

To ink fill a product with this ink, mix it with the LG catalyst. The higher the catalyst the better the ink adhesion. Mix the ink together with the catalyst thoroughly. Then add 50% – 100% of the Type SF silicone ink Solvent to alter viscosity.

For spray painting application, increase the solvent to 300 – 500% of the inks weight.

Drying and curing printed products

The Siliart Series is a slow drying silicone ink. However, generally the following drying times are applicable:
The ink filling will not air dry at room temperature. Use heat to cure and dry this ink.   The inks will cross link and fully cure within 6 minutes. Heat accelerates the curing process.  Ink filled / monogrammed silicone items should be dried using heat. Different substrates have different curing times.  (Safety caution! Observe caution before touching hot items.  Allow heated products to cool down before touching).

Siliart silicone ink solvents and additives

Siliart Series ink for color filling are a two component inks. To get best adhesion, use the LG catalyst. Catalyst is also known as cross-linker or hardener.  The mixing ratio is 10% – 30% of inks weight.

To alter the inks viscosity, use our standard solvents – SF Solvents. Type SF is a very fast drying solvent.

Marking ink for silicone rubber

The SE-M300 is a two-part, heat-cured, addition-cured black silicone ink. This ink adheres to any platinum-based silicone rubber. This marking ink is for silicone rubber parts and other components where the coating must maintain long-term stability. The SE-M300 ink works best in applications with temperatures ranging from -60 °C to 260 °C. Outdoor industrial, aerospace, military, and automotive hoses are examples of these applications.

Natron™ SE ink is also formulated for ease of use. Simply add catalyst (20% of the ink weight) into the ink, add solvent, and mark your part. It also has the highest opacity, gloss, and extreme flexibility compared to any other ink on the market today.

Pad printing silicone ink mixing, printing & curing:

To print your product, mix the silicone marking ink (A) with the LG catalyst (B), print and cure the product. For every 10 parts of the ink (A) add 2 part of the catalyst (B). Mix the ink and the catalyst. To reduce the inks viscosity, Add 100% of the TRM Solvent or SF solvent for silicone to alter viscosity. To dry and cure the printed product, use heat. Put the printed product in an oven for 5 minutes at 250°F (2 minutes at 250°F). (Safety caution! Wait for the heated product to cool down before touching).

After full cure try to bend, scratch or stretch the printed product. We guarantee that the print (ink) will not crack or rub off – the print becomes part of the product. This is the reason the SE-M silicone marking ink is perfect for printing on silicone rubber products.

Solvents: Use TRM Solvent to alter the viscosity. This is if the mixed ink is too thick for a specific application. The SF silicone thinner is a fast drying silicone thinner for silicone, while the TRM has a slow evaporation time. Both silicone ink solvents are environmentally friendly. They have zero VOCs and will not affect the adhesion of the system.

Attention:

If you use any other the solvents with the SE-M300 silicone marking inks, it will affect printing quality and adhesion of the ink.

Drying: Printed parts dry at 275°F for 7 minutes.

Caution: Silicone Ink is compatible with many types of silicone rubber. However, contact with some substrates will inhibit the drying of Silicone Ink. We recommend that you always do a small-scale compatibility test before full production.

INK FOR MEDICAL GRADE SILICONE APPLICATIONS

The Natron SE-F Series is a 2-component medical-grade silicone ink formulated for marking silicone parts that operate in demanding healthcare and advanced science applications. These medical grade silicone inks meet and exceed the quality standards set by the healthcare, space, and electronics industries. To formulate the SE-F Series we use the highest-purity materials and standards possible. We document each and every raw material from start to finish. This makes it possible to trace every batch produced. Additionally, we produce certificate of compliance for each batch.

Once cured, these non-corrosive, non-toxic silicone inks retain their color and physical properties at low and elevated temperature environments. These inks are also stable and stick well to silicone rubber substrates for long-term use in medical devices and healthcare surfaces.

SE-F Series is formulated for pad printing, silk screen marking, and spray coating on silicone components and devices. Examples of these applications include silicone tubing, calendar sheeting, LSR-molded medical parts, etc. Like all Natron printing inks, the SE-F is also designed with ease of use and sustainability in mind. This ink uses less material during application due to its high opacity and lasts longer than any other ink on the market today due to the purity of the materials used.

Medical-grade silicone ink features

Our Natron SE-F ink line has twenty-two high-opacity colors, double any other medical ink available in the market today. In addition, we offer any custom color matching you can think of using all major color matching systems and standards in the world, including AMS-STD-595.

To dry this ink, use heat. This feature makes sure the ink bonds to the substrate, giving it a long service life.

This silicone ink has medical Class VI certification and meets the requirements of the GLP Class VI Test (USP). It also meets the current FDA 21 CFR, Part 58 GLP technical requirements.

THE ONLY SILICONE INK THAT IS HEAT OR AIR-CURED

Natron® DC Silicone Ink — formulated for printing on heat sensitive silicone products.

The DC Series is an air-cure pad printing ink for printing heat-sensitive silicone products. Examples of such products include silicone USB flash drives and plastic-bonded silicone products. To formulate this ink, we used our proprietary Dual Cure RTV Technology. This silicone ink dries quickly, with or without heat. This two-component silicone ink boasts excellent opacity and a glossy finish. The DC series can either be screen- or pad-printed.

We formulated the DC series ink using silicone polymers. The reason is that silicone is the only thing that adheres to it. Please note that silicone-based ink is the only type of ink that can print on, bend, stretch, and move with silicone. Additionally, it will withstand the high temperatures just like silicone rubber. When fully cured, silicone ink will hold up to anything silicone can. Visit our YouTube channel to learn how to mix silicone pad printing inks.

Some key features are heat or air cure, high opacity, gloss, and flexibility.

Natron DC Series is non-toxic and formulated with fade-resistant pigments that are free from heavy metals. This is available in 14 colors, and custom color matches are available upon request!
