Natron® UVPX Series is a solvent-free UV screen printing ink designed for use on various plastics, including pretreated polyethylene, polypropylene, and PU soft-touch coated materials. This UV graphics screen printing ink also demonstrates excellent performance on PETG, PET, PVC, and a range of other plastic materials.
Key features:
Below are the standard colors for the XG Series ink for printing foam balls which include metallic and neon colors. To create new shades, you can mix any two or more colors. Mixing the colors together does not affect the ink adhesion.
For enhanced abrasion resistance, incorporate 3% of the i-300X hardener into this ink. After adding this hardener, prints exhibit significantly improved adhesion, hardness, and both mechanical and physical resistance. Please note that the resulting mixture has a pot life of 12 to 14 hours.
The 189PI photoinitiator additive enhances the reactivity of the UVPX Series ink when exposed to UV LED lamps. It is recommended to add 2% of the additive to transparent shades and 5% to white and colored inks.
The UVPX inks are designed for high-efficiency production, allowing print speeds of up to 5,000 impressions per hour when using a conventional 80 watt/cm UV lamp with a wavelength of 320-420 nm. Additionally, these inks are fully optimized for LED UV curing systems operating at 395 nm. Printers can achieve even higher speeds with higher wattage curing units, providing flexibility to scale production while ensuring flawless results.
The Natron® UVPX Series ink features rapid drying, high opacity, a glossy finish, and excellent abrasion resistance. It is suitable for use in various applications, including toy and cosmetic packaging, as well as industrial and food packaging.
Mesh count: Recommended mesh count: 280–380 mesh (mesh per inch) count screens.
Squeegee: Use 70 durometer squeegee or the 70/90/70 triple durometer which is an excellent choice for more ink lay-down.
Consider 80-durometer squeegee when using 305 – 355 mesh count. Always have and off-contact when screen printing hard goods.
Natron® UVPX inks can be dried at speeds ranging from 3,000 to 5,000 impressions per hour when using a conventional 80-watt/cm UV lamp with a wavelength of 320-420 nm.
Higher print speeds are possible if curing units are equipped with higher wattage lamps.
Typically, a 12 W LED lamp operating at 395 nm can achieve a production rate of 3,000 to 4,000 pieces per hour.
UVPX achieves its peak adhesion and maximum cure after 24 hours, resulting in optimal levels of adhesion, chemical and mechanical resistance, and rub resistance.

Boston Industrial Solutions, Inc. prioritizes sustainable practices that reduce waste and support the circular economy. This commitment ensures that our products meet the growing demand for environmentally responsible solutions in various industries. Our sustainability efforts also apply to the UVPX Series inks.
Many industries use this ink to print rubber parts. Industries that use this ink include promotional, medical, toys, drinkware, aerospace, automotive, and packaging.
Examples printing applications for this ink include foam squeeze ball stress relievers, bogg bags, sporting goods, skateboard wheels, soft touch surfaces, soft PVC, ID cards, binders/report covers, textiles, and much more!
There are several printing methods for printing on plastic cups, including pad printing, screen printing, and digital printing. To print on plastic cups, you must first determine the material; most cups are typically made of PETE or PP. Then, choose the appropriate ink for your printing method. For screen printing with UV inks, consider using the UVPX Series UV screen printing ink. If you lack printing equipment, both the MG Series and the BX Series are excellent options. For pad printing, use either the BX Series pad printing ink or the MG Series.
When printing with digital inks, it is important to use a digital primer, such as the PP plastic primer. Additionally, ensure you select the correct UV ink. For example, the 314 Series is a great choice for all machines equipped with Ricoh Gen 5 and Gen 6 printheads.
To screen print on plastic sippy cups, use the Natron® UVPX ink series.
